LAA & WLCU Spring Annual Picnic
You are cordially invited to the LAA and WLCU Spring Annual Picnic. For some the Spring Annual Picnic is a day to relax with friends and family in a casual environment outside of the office. Some Guests love to take a leisurely row boat or paddle boat trip on the lake. For others, its about action - sports, like softball, frisbee, volleyball, soccer and more! And others like Conversations at the picnic table under a shady tree…. A day at the Spring Annual Picnic includes wide variety of activities, delicious food, and an unmatched atmosphere of fun.
The location of the Spring Annual Picnic is Vasona Lake Park in the beautiful town of Los Gatos

Vasona Park includes 45 acres of lawn which can be used for informal play such as frisbee tossing, softball or soccer.
Vasona Lake is open for non-power boating year round. Paddle boats and row boats are available for rental from early spring through early fall. The lake also offers fishing for Black Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Blue Gill. Public boat storage is available for a fee and a launch ramp is provided.
Picnicking
Picnicking by families and groups is one of the most popular activities at Vasona Lake County Park. Please help make this experience enjoyable for everyone by adhering to the following rules and any posted regulations.
- The park is open year-round from 8:00 a.m. until sunset.
- Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Parking stalls cannot be saved. Reservations at group areas do not include reserved parking.
- Do not drive into picnic areas or onto lawns, paths, or landscaping.
- Twenty minutes is the maximum time allowed for parking in the yellow zone for unloading and loading of picnic supplies.
- Post directional signs in designated areas only. Signs are removed daily.
- No tacks, nails, or staples on park signs, tables, or trees.
- Allow fires in barbecue pits to burn out. Water will damage the grill and pit.
- Amplified music is prohibited without a permit.
Accessibility
The majority of the Park’s facilities meet those standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act. There are fishing platforms on Vasona Lake to accommodate visitors with mobility impairments. For other specific information or special accommodations, contact the park office.

The entrance to Vasona Lake Park is located on Blossom Hill Road in Los Gatos.
Driving Directions From Southbound:
Highway 17, exit at Lark Avenue and travel east. Turn right on Los Gatos Boulevard and
right again onto Blossom Hill Road.
Driving Directions From San Francisco:
US-101 South to San Jose
CA 85 South, Cupertino/Santa Cruz Winchester Blvd. exit.
Continue on North Santa Cruz Avenue and turn left at Blossom Hill Road.
Walk-in entrances are located on Garden Hill Drive and University Avenue.
Look for our reserved area, The Meadowbrook Area and follow the Lebanese Flag signs.
Please plan to arrive before 12:00 noon for better parking and seating.

The LAA is proud to announce its Arabic Language Program catered to kids ages 5 to 12.
Our first session was very successful and the demand is ongoing for a second session.
Thanks to “Alefb” program www.alefb.org , the classes cater to our community students with different levels and skills.
The class is 1 ½ hour-workshop per week, over a period of 30 weeks per school year. It costs $225 per child for LAA members and $350 for non-members.
We currently have classes in Burlingame and Santa Clara and soon in the East Bay as demand is growing.
