Thank you for taking the time to consider sponsorship for LAA Events. The LAA is a fund raising, non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization dedicated to securing funding and services to benefit our community in the Bay Area and in Lebanon. It is involved in cultural and philanthropic services for its people. The board consists of fifteen members who meet every month and are dedicated to preserving the ideals of the LAA. With the help of you and many people, companies, and organizations, the LAA has provided financial assistance in the form of scholarships to less fortunate and deserving Lebanese students in the Bay Area; sent wheel chairs to hospitals and charitable organization in Lebanon; distributed computers to schools in need; contributed funds to MAG which is an international organization specialized in removing unexploded land mines; donated funds to American University of Beirut and University of Balamand; donated funds to clinics and hospitals in Lebanon and sent medical supplies with a retail value in excess of $10,000,000; donated funds to the South in an effort to help rebuild after the 2006 July war; donated $5,000 and was matched with another $5,000 by Mr. Craig Barrett, Chairman of Intel, to benefit hospitals in Lebanon. The LAA is on a mission to continue in its fundraising efforts to raise money for worthy causes such as supporting the Lebanese Army in their fight against terrorism. What we have done is only a part of what we want to offer to our American Lebanese Communities, in the USA and also to institutions in Lebanon that are in need of our assistance. Because of the generosity of so many in our community, much has been done to help those in need. We hope you support our efforts.
